Lounge

Guest lounge with cosy fireplace and state of art television.

After a big day skiing melt into the leather lounge or loll about in front of the fire on the Flokati NZ wool rug or sit on the seats to compare ski stories with the other guests.

Ares Ski is that magical time of a ski holiday where the snow boots come off your tired feet and round two of the fun starts. Afternoon tea and drinks are served at 430pm in the lounge. Relax with the other guests after a hard day of skiing or snowboarding. The beverage menu containing a selection of sparkling, white wine, red wines, beer spirits, liquors and non-alcoholic drinks is available.

Licensed Restaurant

Kooloora Licensed Restaurant serves hot breakfast, afternoon tea and 3 course dinner included in the tariff.

The hot breakfast each morning is perfect fuel before you hit the slopes for the day.

The bespoke set dinner menu goes out daily on our food board. Relax and unwind with a delicious meal prepared in house from local and season ingredients.

Our premises is fully licensed and we stock a range of local beverages including Gluhwien, sparkling wines, beers, wine, schnapps, spirits and soft drinks. You may purchase drinks from 4.30pm each day. We have a special drinks package for in house guests of up to 4 drinks per person per night (Gluhwein, wine, beer, schnapps). The cost is $30 and limited to one per night.

If you have a mate or a friend not staying with us who would like to come to dinner cost is $70 adults and $30 kids under 12 years old. Bookings required.

Kitchen

Welcome to the heart of Kooloora Lodge: our kitchen, where culinary enchantment takes center stage under the guidance of our dedicated private chef.

Rest assured, we understand the diverse preferences of our guests, including our younger visitors and those with specific dietary requirements. To ensure everyone’s satisfaction, we’re more than happy to accommodate kids’ meals and cater to special dietary needs. To make your experience seamless, we kindly request that you inform us in advance. Simply reach out to us via email at [email protected] at least one week prior to your arrival, and we’ll work our culinary magic to provide you with a delightful dining experience that caters to your unique needs.

Ski Room

Upon entering the lodge, the first area on your left is the ski room, designed as a dedicated space for storing your skis or snowboard securely. Adjacent to it, you’ll find the dry room, which serves as a convenient spot to remove your boots and damp clothing, allowing them to dry overnight.

This area also serves as the hub for all your snow-related activities. We provide an assortment of snow toys, including toboggans and snow shoes, all readily available for your enjoyment. To access these items, we kindly request that you to read our liability waiver, ensuring your safety while having a blast in the snow.

Check in and check out

What are check in and check out times?
Check In: 3:30pm Check out: 9:30am

Check in is online. You will be sent a link 48 hours before you arrive. Please check in before you get to the property.

Easiest way in, in winter is to park at Bullocks Flat and catch the Ski Tube to Perisher Station. Proceed to Oversnow and book a transfer to Kooloora Lodge. (we cover the transfer on arrival and departure ).

There is an option to prolong your holiday with early check in or late check out for an extra fee.

Early check in means that you can arrive at the lodge any time between 9am and 3.30pm on the day of your arrival to drop off your baggage. We will store your luggage in our baggage area and you are able to access the common areas of the lodge to get ready for a day of skiing or boarding.

Late check out means you still need to vacate your room at 9.30am, we will store your luggage in our baggage area and you are able to access the common areas of the lodge up to 330pm.

There is limited availability and you can book this via email up to one day prior to arrival. All baggage must be clearly marked with your name. The cost for either option is $100 per room.
